About Me.
Who is Radiant Design and Art? It is my design company, homegrown in 2010. I reside in Baltimore, Maryland with my husband and daughter. I was born in Augusta, GA and I grew up in the DC suburb of Olney since the age of three. I have lived, studied and worked in Sarasota, FL, Brooklyn, NY, Manhattan and Washington, DC. It’s a remote, global cloud-based world now and I am now simply Baltimore based! I can travel to visit you, and can work on-site if needed. My little company welcomes collaborations from anywhere, in any time zone.
What am I doing? I am freelance and contract-based visual communications specialist with over fifteen solid years experience. My work experience is diverse, from publishing companies, small businesses, non-profits, corporate communications and health care just to name a few!
In addition to graphic design, I am visual artist. My tools are graphite, pen and ink, oil crayons and even shrinky dinks! There is no medium I won't pass up and express myself with, although a pencil and paper always does the trick! I love painting in watercolors as well. In design and art, I express myself using shape and form along with elements of nature and portraiture. I find beauty in the diversity of people’s faces.
As for my education: I am a1998 BFA graduate of The Maryland Institute, College of Art (MICA) in Visual Communications. Prior to my scholarship at MICA, I studied Photography (AA) and Graphic Design at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida from 1993-1996.
It’s 2022, and I’m ready to grow! I’m looking forward to creating and working with the new ideas I have, and do what I enjoy just as much, working with others to earn create relatable and dynamic designs.
